The client needed the land reshaped and the soil prepared for lawn seeding. After the groundworks, we removed small stumps below ground, firmed the surface and completed the final levelling.

Before and after groundworks

The same part of the site at different stages

Initially, the area contained uneven ground, vegetation and woody remains. Once complete, a continuous, levelled soil surface was visible between the trees, ready for seeding.

The sequence of work

Three steps to a prepared surface

  1. Shape the ground

We first adjusted levels and smoothed uneven ground, working between retained trees and the boundary fences.

  2. Remove small stumps below ground

After shaping, we removed the remaining small stumps obstructing the future lawn. Surface finishing followed their removal.

  3. Finish the soil for seeding

Finally, we firmed and finely levelled the surface, leaving the client with soil prepared for subsequent lawn seeding.
