We remove ivy, Virginia creeper and other climbing vegetation from stone walls, historic fortifications and façades, as well as ivy from trees. Our approach depends on the condition of the masonry or tree, the extent of growth and access. We work in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region.
Enquire about ivy removalClimbing plants can conceal damaged joints, render and other vulnerable areas. Pulling them away without proper assessment can damage the masonry. We first examine how the vegetation is attached and the condition of the underlying surface, then choose an appropriate removal and cleaning method.
We agree the work and handling of removed vegetation individually. At protected historic sites, we also account for the site manager's conditions and any heritage conservation requirements.

Our professional experience includes removing climbing vegetation from historic masonry within the Prague Castle complex. This setting calls for sensitive methods, respect for original materials and careful planning of every intervention.

Get a no-obligation quoteBefore starting, we assess how vegetation is attached and the visible surface condition. We align our method with the owner's or manager's conditions and any heritage conservation requirements. Vegetation removal does not repair or restore masonry.
We agree the extent of removal according to the tree's condition, growth and access. This service does not itself include felling or pruning; any further tree care is agreed separately.
Vegetation will be removed to the agreed extent. We confirm which areas will be cleaned, what will remain and how plant material will be handled. The result also depends on the underlying surface; intact render beneath old growth cannot be guaranteed.
Whether it is a stone wall, historic fortification, façade or tree, we recommend a method based on its actual condition. Send photographs and basic details of the site.

Yes. GREON removes ivy from trees as well as walls. We assess the growth, tree condition and access, then agree the extent of work and handling of removed vegetation. Removing ivy does not itself involve felling the tree.
We choose methods that minimise the risk of damage. However, removal from older or damaged render and mortar joints cannot be entirely risk-free; the underlying condition is decisive.
The attachment of the plants and condition of the joints must be assessed. Overgrown vegetation should not be pulled off without preparation; the removal method must suit the particular structure.
