The brief and sequence of work

Clearing vegetation to prepare the working section

The brief included clearing shrubs and felling trees of various diameters, including stump removal. Felling was followed by cutting up trunks and handling the timber.

Large trunks required progressive cutting and gathering of material. Some photographs show extensive cavities revealed during processing.

Our role was to prepare the route for subsequent work. The photographs document the working section and individual stages.

The next stage

Clearing the route with a forestry mulcher

The photograph shows a tracked FAE forestry mulcher in the working section. Forestry mulchers clear areas and process self-seeded woody growth and timber residue.

This followed tree removal and opening up the space. We choose equipment to suit the site, access and required surface condition.
